The Mshishi Sports, Arts & Culture Festival (often referred to as the Mshishi Sports Art and Culture Festival) is an annual community-focused event in KwaZulu-Natal designed to promote youth development, social cohesion, and local talent discovery.

Running for its 9th edition, the festival focuses on:

• Sports Development: Multi-sport tournaments—ranging from grassroots football and netball to rated regional chess competitions—designed to showcase local talent and keep youth constructively engaged.

• Cultural Preservation & Arts: Platforming traditional African music, indigenous dance (such as Ingoma), local crafts, and artistic performances to preserve heritage and build social cohesion.

• Local Empowerment: Stimulating the local rural economy by creating opportunities for small vendors, local artists, and event support teams.

The 9th iteration marks nearly a decade of growth as a flagship community platform in the region, bridging sport and cultural heritage.
