This Refund Policy outlines how refunds are handled on the V Tickets platform.
V Tickets operates as a ticketing platform that enables event organisers to sell tickets. As such, refund decisions are primarily the responsibility of the event organiser, unless otherwise stated.
By purchasing a ticket through V Tickets, you agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Responsibility for Refunds
- Each event organiser sets their own refund policy for their event
- Refund eligibility, conditions, and timelines are determined by the organiser
V Tickets acts only as a facilitator and is not responsible for:
- Event cancellations
- Event postponements
- Changes to event details
3. When Refunds May Be Issued
Refunds may be issued under the following circumstances:
Event Cancellation
If an event is cancelled, attendees may be eligible for a refund as determined by the organiser.
Event Postponement or Rescheduling
- Tickets may remain valid for the new date
- Refunds (if any) are subject to the organiser’s policy
Other Circumstances
Refunds may be considered in cases such as:
- Duplicate purchases
- Incorrect ticket purchases
These are handled at the organiser’s discretion.
4. Non-Refundable Items
Unless otherwise stated:
- Service fees are non-refundable
- Commission fees are non-refundable
- Additional retail outlet fees are non-refundable
5. Refund Processing Fee
Where a refund is approved, a non-refundable processing fee of R10 per ticket will be deducted from the refund amount.
This fee covers administrative and transaction costs associated with processing the refund.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund:
- Contact the event organiser directly (if contact details are provided), OR
- Submit a request through the V Tickets platform or support email info@vtickets.co.za
Please include:
- Your order reference
- Event name
- Reason for the refund request
7. Refund Processing Time
- Approved refunds may take 5–10 business days to process
- Processing times may vary depending on payment providers and banks
8. Payment Method for Refunds
Refunds will be issued using the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.
9. Chargebacks and Disputes
Initiating a chargeback without first contacting V Tickets or the organiser may result in:
- Account suspension
- Restriction from future purchases
We encourage users to contact support first to resolve issues.
10. Changes to This Policy
V Tickets reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time.
Changes will be effective once published on the platform.
