1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the V Tickets platform, including our website, mobile applications, and services.

By accessing or using V Tickets, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our platform.

2. Definitions

  • “Platform” refers to the V Tickets website and mobile applications
  • “User” refers to any person using the platform
  • “Organiser” refers to any individual or entity creating or managing events
  • “Attendee” refers to any user purchasing or attending an event
  • “Tickets” refers to digital or physical access passes to events

3. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes
  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account

You may not:

  • Use the platform for fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Interfere with the platform’s operation or security
  • Attempt unauthorised access to systems or data

4. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining your login credentials
  • All activities under your account

V Tickets reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Event Creation (For Organisers)

Organisers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate event information
  • Setting ticket prices and availability
  • Delivering the event as described

Organisers must not:

  • Mislead attendees
  • Sell fraudulent or invalid tickets
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

V Tickets reserves the right to remove or suspend events that breach these Terms.

6. Ticket Purchases (For Attendees)

By purchasing a ticket, you agree that:

  • You are buying a ticket for an event organised by a third-party organiser
  • The organiser is responsible for the event

All ticket purchases are subject to:

  • Availability
  • Event-specific terms

Tickets may not be resold or transferred unless explicitly permitted.

7. Fees and Charges

V Tickets applies the following fees:

  • 4.9% commission per ticket sold
  • R6 service fee per ticket
  • Additional R3 fee for tickets purchased via retail outlets (if applicable)

These fees will be clearly communicated during the event creation and ticket purchase process.

8. Payments and Payouts

  • Payments are processed via secure third-party payment providers
  • V Tickets may facilitate the collection and distribution of funds

Payouts to organisers:

  • Are subject to agreed payout schedules
  • May be delayed in cases of disputes, fraud, or policy violations

9. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund policies are determined by the event organiser unless otherwise stated.

V Tickets is not responsible for:

  • Event cancellations
  • Changes to event details

However, V Tickets may assist in facilitating refunds where applicable.

Where a refund is approved, a non-refundable processing fee of R10 per ticket will be deducted from the total refund amount.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on the platform, including:

  • Logos
  • Designs
  • Text
  • Software

is the property of V Tickets or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without permission.

11. Data and Privacy

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

By using V Tickets, you consent to the collection and use of your information as outlined in that policy.

12. Limitation of Liability

V Tickets acts as a platform connecting organisers and attendees.

We are not liable for:

  • Event cancellations or changes
  • Losses incurred from attending events
  • Actions or omissions of event organisers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, V Tickets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless V Tickets from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from:

  • Your use of the platform
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your events (if you are an organiser)

14. Termination

V Tickets reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts
  • Remove content or events

at its sole discretion, especially in cases of policy violations.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.

Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of South African courts.
